HISTORICAL HIGHLIGHTS

On November 2003, a project entitled "Transforming the PNP into a more capable, Effective and Credible Police Force was formally launched marked with the signing of Memorandum of Agreement between the             Supreme Court of the Philippines and the PNP.

On July 28, 2005 the GOP-UNDP Study was formally launched.

Pursuant to GOP-UNDP recommendations, the PMO was officially activated on September 28, 2005 and is organized under the Office of the Chief, PNP per NHQ PNP General Order Number DPL 05-12

 

ABOUT PMO

The PNP Program Management Office (PMO) was the central management facility for all PNP reform programs and projects.

As the former PNP's "idea center", its mission was to generate and convert strategies and concepts into "doable" projects that will improve the competencies of PNP personnel and the quality of police services.

1. To undertake overall planning and management of the PNP Integrated Transformation Program.

2. To generate resources to support the PNP Integrated Transformation Program.

3. To coordinate with the different PNP offices and units to ensure the proper sequence, timing, and synchronized implementation of reform projects and activities.

PMO was officially activated on September 28, 2005 and is organized under the Office of the Chief, PNP. The Deputy Chief, PNP for Administration (DCA) serves as PMO Executive Director.

 

MISSION

To promote the PNP transformation program through effective strategic planning, project management, and resource mobilization, resulting in a more capable, effective and credible police service, responsive to the community, most especially to the marginalized, vulnerable and disadvantaged sectors of society.

VISION

The Program Management Office shall be a dynamic and results-oriented central office, working with partner institutions, for the effective management of the Philippine National Police Transformation program.

FUNCTION

The Program Management Office (PMO) shall be responsible in the overall planning, implementation management, sequencing, inter-agency coordination, and programming of all reform activities identified under the PNP Integrated Transformation Program (ITP).
